The parents and citizens' association (P&C), through working bees, funding and planning, has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining the edible garden and other playground areas.
Edible Garden
Feel free to wander through and pick some herbs or lemons for your dinner.
Playground
P&C fundraising has also funded the brick paving, stairs and gardens leading from the Lucy Woodcock Hall into the lower playground, as well as the slide, two outdoor chess boards and playground seating.
Further funding has been allocated by the P&C to install new play equipment in the upper playground during 2020.
How to get involved
Household fruit and vegetable scraps are always welcome in our compost bins - simply pop them in at any time, or come along on Wednesday mornings and one of our volunteers will gladly take care of them.
Parents, carers and children are invited to join regular gardening sessions in the edible garden each Wednesday afternoon from 3:15pm.
We hold regular playground and garden working bees on the Sunday at the end of Week 5 each term, with a range of activities suitable for all abilities - no special skills required! Children are welcome (if accompanied by an adult) and lunch is provided. We hope to see you there!
