Band Program
In 2023 our band program will be coordinated by band director Emily McKnight. All band inquiries should be directed to the Band Director, Emily McKnight - erkomuso@gmail.com
The band program caters for around 100 students from Years 3 -6.
Training Band
This involves students in their first year of band. Anyone in Year 3 and above can join. All of these students are absolute beginners on their band instruments and there is no prerequisite for musical training. It provides a great opportunity for the students to become competent on their instruments in an environment which is both supportive and fun.
Intermediate Band
The Intermediate Band is predominately comprised of students with at least 1 year of experience on their band instrument. Students may spend anywhere between 1 and 3 years in this ensemble. Entry into the Intermediate Band is by audition and tutor recommendation.
Concert Band
The Concert Band is Erko's premier performing stage band. Entry to the Concert Band is by audition and tutor recommendation only. This ensemble consists of students who are proficient on their instrument and committed to further improvement.
