Attendance and absences
Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.
In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent and remain in school, employment or training until they turn 17.

School frameworks (school rules)
As well as following the department’s operational policies, we have developed frameworks for our students in line with our school’s values and commitments.
Absentee form
If your child is going to be absent from school, please call the school office to let them know as soon as possible. Please send this completed note to school on the first day back after your child's absence.

Application for extended leave
At Erskineville Public School, students may undertake extended periods of leave from their studies. For the school to allow such period of leave, documentation must be signed.

Exemption certificate
At Erskineville Public School if students wish to apply for an exemption for either enrolment or attendance, they must first complete this documentation.
